A second chance
Sometimes all it takes is a second chance. . . .
A second chance, just to be fun.. . .
I bet that’s not what you’re thinking when you see this chair. . .
Me either, at least not initially. . .
But then. . . I couldn’t find what I wanted in this one small, empty spot.
Well. . . . without spending a lot more than I wanted to spend.
So as we were cleaning out a storage closet in the back of my garage
I ran across this chair, and I wondered. . . .
Why would I have ever put this chair in this closet?
I mean. . . .why in the world did I not just trash this chair? What was I thinking?
And then, I remembered, the spot. . . the spot where I needed “something” . .
And I thought, I think this chair will work.
Now. . . the mister was shaking his head and saying “What are you thinking now?” and “There’s no “Joy” or “Pearl” in that chair.” I also heard, “We cleaning out. . . . remember?”
So I just smiled and said. . . “But I can do something with this chair!”
Let’s give this chair a second chance.
A second chance to upcycle and unearth a little beauty
Now let’s be honest. . . . .It wasn’t a major décor change, and
It wasn’t a planned project.
In all honesty, it was a “Let’s use leftover paint to see what we can create” moment, and
How can I put something in my empty space with minimal to no expense.
So now. . . ., the chair gets a second chance, for at least a little while longer. . .
And I get to fill a needed space (right there beside my refreshed wreath on my window pane).
And it gives me a little more “joy” as I await spring.
By the way. . . spring really is here!
I was so excited to see these flowers and buds so I thought I would share a few photos to confirm.
Aww. . . the Joy that Spring is coming soon!
Don’t forget to find your joy!
